In a Nutshell: For those who do not want to read the entire hierarchial description, or do not have the time: The Outcast society is the only society that is more accepting of females in leadership roles, but not usually.
The Outcasts, being who they are, do not have as much land and resources as the other regions; hence the smaller hierarchy and few lands available to claim.
The set-up of the Outcast hierarchy is both more restricting and less restricting when compared to certain aspects of The Damascus and The Forsyth hierarchies.
Power is constantly shifting.
Common stallions, mares and offspring play much more of a role in this society in comparison to the others, because the Outcast population is typically less than half of The Damascus and Forsyth population at any given time. While the position, or lack of it, may denote an equines incapability to fight or be of use to society due to illness, age, pregnancy etc., even most of the common equines take place in the common affairs of this society. The role of Second-in-Command, one or two at a time, is to take care of the stallions, mares and foals, keep them in line and organize them for battle when nessecary. Commanders are a lot like the Lords and Leaders of the other regions, though they do not lead any land or claim any mares (unless otherwise noted by either a member of staff or being given IC permission by an Ehfton Leader). Commanders are the most loyal and trusted horses and are almost glued to the Ehfton Leaders. Ehfton Leaders are at the top, have all of the say so and for the most part can keep the peace. Any horse who can keep this position is a worthy leader because this is the position which sees most of the change.
Ehfton Leader: At any given moment there can be up to three proclaimed leaders for The Outcasts, for it is said that it can take that many to control the group should they obtain too many exiles. Mares and stallions may take this position though it is often dominated by one gender or the other. Regardless, these leaders make all final decisions and apoint horses into the lower positions. Unlike the hierarchies in the other two regions, these equines oftent lead and take part in battles, while also being the master-minds behind plans to take captives from The Damascus and The Forsyth and the best way to obtain land. The Ehfton Leader(s) is/are the only one who actually 'leads a land' and can technically claim mares.
Commander: The Commanders in The Outcast region are similar to the Lords and the Leaders in the other two regions. They are considered trustworthy and dedicated to their cause and would be the last to try and overthrow the Ehfton Leaders. These horses may claim mares, although they do not lead any declared land; the commanders are like joint 'betas' who lead together, similar to Ehfton Leaders but with less authority.
Second-in-Command: Regarded as Generals, these seconds are excellent fighters, often mares and stallions with a mixture of brains and brawn, who also go into battle. Mainly, they stick around the outcast region ensuring the safety of the exiles, break up quarrels and make sure there is no rebellion; similar to soldiers for a King, ensuring the King's power and that there is no sign of treason, among other duties.
Stallions; Mares; Offspring Those who are too old or too young, diseased, pregnant or otherwise incapable of fighting, or have yet to be discovered as a major part of their chosen region, are simply a stallion, mare or someone's offspring in their society. Their roles are small if they are fortunate enough to have one and their lives are expendable. Considered the 'poor' equines of their society they are often ignored - a godsend to most - until they become valuable in some form or another.
