Character Name: Merlin Pronounced: MER - linn Gender: male Age: five Other Characters: Sky, Eikki Calibarr, Xochhi
Appearance: For all intents and purposes, Merlin is white. Technically, his hair is a very light gray and the skin beneath is almost black, but he looks white. His eyes are a deep brown that appear almost black, striking in contrast with his light colored bodice. Another thing that just doesn't quite fit with his coloring is that he has one dark hoof and three light. This probably makes him a paint, and that would be the result of very poor breeding.
At 16.3 hh, he looks almost awkward. Somewhere up the line there had been a draft breed. A generation or two of breeding smaller horses from the line had...made an oops. No stallion of that size should have legs as skinny as his. It's just not natural. Then again, he has a smaller head as well so it all looks almost proportionate. The poor stallion's breeding is despicable and therefor he tends to rope-walk, meaning every step he takes falls in a straight line with the others. It too is awkward, but somehow or another, he makes it all look nice, even if he's known to be a little clumsy.
It's actually quite a henderence, and it aids heavilly to his I-don't really-care attitude. It being the way he walks. Ever hoof-fall is aligned with the others. His legs have to swing out and around to enable this. Usually, it's not genetic, only a habit. But, when untrained, this habit will become a part of a horse. His tendency to rope-walk causes his average speed to rarely, if ever, become anything above a walk.
Personality: Really, Merlin is a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He was raised as an 'heir', so he can come across as a spoiled ass brat, especially when it comes the ladies. 'Heir' here is in quotes only because his handler gave him special treatment. His temperment is so placid, it's hard not to favor the stag. Then again, he walked away from his old life becuase it was 'boring'. Many would wonder if he was casterated, but no, he still has his balls intact. He's just...different: unambitious, relaxed, extremely laid-back. All the usual things a stallion is, Merlin isn't. Granted, he does have his burst of testosterone, so he loves his mares and doesn't mind a spar here and there, but generally, Merlin doesn't care.
It makes him a little hard to get along with much of the time. Then again, it's also one of his biggest assets. He really doesn't care which side wins in a war, as long as the outcome is entertaining. At the deepest level, Merlin isn't even self-serving; he just likes things to go a way that will keep him on his toes. It's neither a bad trait or good trait, it's simply his trait. Also, he's a total charmer. Lyrics drip from his kissers like honey whether it's truth or lie.
Rp Sample: I did dis long time 'go. =D
Other: Technically, he was bred to be a warhorse, but something in those genetics went wrong. He came out with legs too skinny to hold their own in a fight, so he was put with other 'outcast' horses. Among these, he was treated fairly well only becuase of his easy handling. He was used as a carthorse, for he was blessed with a draft's hindquarters -- even if his legs are like toothpicks, a common nickname from the war.

Pending.
I see no negatives in his appearance, aside from his 'awkwardness'. I can assume that his poor breeding makes him a bad fighter (as well as his personality) but perhaps include that in his appearance? Just mention it makes him a bad fighter or something.
His personality sort of contradicts his history (if we are agreeable to him being the horse that pulled the cart which took the dead from the battle ground). Either way, I don't see how he could be raised as an 'heir' considering the war horses were kept seperate. Now, the horses that were rejected were kept together, so even though he was put to use, it seems his personality would make him capable of being put in the 'rejected' pen with all the other 'bad' war horses. Still, I don't see him being raised as an heir. Really he would not have been treated very nicely with just being a carriage horse, but maybe he could just be spoiled because he had a pretty easy going life because all he did was pull a carriage with dead people/horses. So fix that up or something.
Otherwise, as long as you are fixing the 'other' since I discussed with you on the chat that the farm thing won't work, and every thing else get's fixed, you should get accepted next time around.

Ok...I really didn't change anything, I just added to it. =D Made it clearer...whatever you wanna call it. I added another paragraph on the end of her appearance to describe what rope-walking does, and fixed his 'other' section. Better now? And look, I haven't fought anything you've said. =DDDDD
