Character Name: Ares Callixtus
Pronounced: AIR - ease , kuh - LICKS - tus
Gender: stallion
Age: 5
Rank: War Stallion
Other Characters: haha. uhh... Sky, Eikki Calibarr, Xochhi, Kaytie, Merlin >> I think that's it. =D
Appearance: There are two words that will describe Ares Callixtus: huge and intimidating. He is upwards of 18 hh at the whithers and, he didn't just knock on weighing a ton, he barrelled through it at just over 2100 lbs. Ares is a big boy. With almost nothing but Shire within his bloodlines, the stallion is a very dark brown -- almost black -- horse with white socks that stop just below his knees and hocks. Ebony banner and tassels hang as far as they can grow out. A white blaze runs between his deep brown eyes and covers his muzzle. Heavy white feathering as well as a brown beard are just another indicator of his war horse heritage.
As far as intimidating goes...well. Scars litter his body. It's easy for his bulk to take a hit. Afterall, to weigh as much and be as tall as he is, he's a little slow on his hooves. However, what he lacks in speed, he makes up for in power. As stated before, Ares is huge...and very solid. A thinner, more agile horse will be able to put a few good marrings upon his hide, but if he can get a good hit in... Ares may be slow, but he's strong.
Personality: Of course. Typical stallion. Ares has a thing for sex. His lust gets to his head every now and then and he just can't help himself. Typical war horse. He tends to like blood and gore and death and destruction and pain and sadism and and and and you get the idea. Ok, all of that aside. Think of a good book with action and drama and fighting (preferably swordplay) and most likely set in the mideival time period. Like something by Tamora Pierce. There's always that one guy that's kinda in the background, not the main character but he has his moment in the spotlight. He's usually a great fighter, doesn't have alot of ambition, trusts people, is trustworthy, etc. That's Ares.
It's not really a flaw, but Ares does not have very much ambition. And he prefers to fight fair, again not a typical trait. It's not that the stallion is mushy or soft, he just has a down-to-earth idea of what is right. War is something that is invariable, so whether it's right doesn't matter. However, not everything deserves to die. Ares just sees things a little differently than most. He sees the balance in things and he tends to have almost a soft spot for those who cannot take care of themselves (i.e. the very old and the very young, the wounded and the helpless). He's also very good at puting on a show.
Ok, so how can these things hurt him? Well, he doesn't particularly care if he gets anywhere in life, so a Warlord has nothing to fear from him. He's only about average intellectually. Basically, Ares is alot of brawn, a little brain, and packs a hell of a punch. However, if Ares has a 'superior officer', he tends to become more of a pawn than anything else. He'll pretty much carry out his orders. But, there is that acting thing to consider. Most of the time, Ares doesn't know what he's doing. He just kinda goes with it.
Rp Sample: Did this forever ago.
Other: He needs a Warlord to be a 'right hand'/'long arm' for. He's more of a fighter, not so much a thinker, and he wouldn't dare challenge an officer. =] Oh, and I made him 5 cuz of the time the site's been around. I hope that's ok. Usually a warhorse over 4 isn't accepted. But since it's been a year since the war... =/
