[bg=131111][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true]Character Name: Ellyria Pronounced: El - lie - ree - uh Gender: Mare Age: 3 Side: Forsyth Other Characters: Akron
Appearance: Ellyria is a pedigree Andalusian with 100% oriental blood, bred traditionally by religious leaders for the sanctity of her breed. She carries all of the qualities which are characteristic of her ancestry including large maple brown eyes, a long and thick neck, broad chest and hindquarters, a strong, short body and clean-cut, elegant legs. Her pallid mane and tail grow in abundance giving her a more elegant appearance while refining her skull, neck and hindquarters due to the contrast of the off-white against her bright, ivory coat. Due to the contours in her body, certain aspects of her hide are velvety softy and slightly grey or golden coloured, but Ellyria is still classified as a white Andalusian.
On to the physicality’s of the horse, she was considered just as perfect as the breed itself. The breed was initially bred for fighting to begin with, thus most aspects of fighting have been innately bred into Ellyria. She is extremely agile with naturally sophisticated and high steps, making her an extremely coordinated creature. A skilled jumper and natural acrobat, Ellyria appears to have no flaw which is probably the most beneficial aspect of her breeding. In reality, the fae is more bred for defense than offense: she doesn’t have a lot of weight to throw around, thus she has more power in avoiding attacks than empowering them. High endurance enables her to wear most of her enemies out; something that she relies on more than actually attacking.
From it all Ellyria has endured a lot of wounds. Though successful in most of her battles - not that she was involved in many - she often left a fight with more wounds than her opponent. Her once perfect body is now scarred, her face blemished and her legs appear to have been tangled in barbed wire for most of her life. Her white coat only hides the small scars; the bigger wounds flash against her ivory flesh like black diamonds.
Personality: Ellyria has as much valor as the iconic lion and an equal amount of tenacity to sustain it. She could intimidate even the most unimpressionable creature through sheer gall and even convince the best scholars that the sky is green, and the grass is blue. Of course she wouldn’t be female if her personality did not include flirting and seduction; an attribute which makes a great ally with her persuasive techniques. Ellyria is typically described as a justly accuser due to her intricate paranoia when it comes to trust and loyalty in others. This provokes her to be extremely accusationall though such ideas strictly take the form of only thoughts most of the time, while scarcely she may vocalize her suspicions; usually during an altercation or if she herself is wrongly accused.
Atypical of most equines Ellyria is most active at night, preferring to sleep and play lazy during the day while traveling and grazing at night. This quality is a direct development from her mental problems. She is neither insane nor mentally handicapped – quite the contrary, she is a very rational beast. Unfortunately Ellyria has been tragically effected by her experiences from the time she was born – enduring the pressure of her ancestry yet being regarded merely as profit – up until now where she has had to endure being sold, physically and mentally manipulated in order to be capable of enduring battle and then handling the scars placed both upon her flesh, her mind and her heart. Ellyria now sees the world in a fog, almost as if she had ADHD mixed with blindness because not only is she easily distracted, but she takes in her surroundings much faster than what her mind can process it so that everything blurs together. If she is given something specifically to concentrate on – such as an opponent or a specific individual – Ellyria’s mental state resembles some normalcy, enabling her to concentrate. Otherwise she travels the land without seeing anything specific, just sustaining herself and surviving the world.
Her opinion on males is typical – they all want something from a mare, whether it is sex, loyalty, offspring or just the satisfaction of possessing a mare. Mares themselves are typically sluts or wimps, incapable of defending themselves. She considers everyone deceitful and in some way tragic, as well as arrogant. Ellyria doesn’t think too highly of anyone, but she can make friends and has even felt love once or twice in her life. Her loyalty and trust is unmatched once it is earned, for all the emotions she feels are strong and genuine.

Other: Being the result of ancient, traditional and monitored breeding, Ellyria’s ancestry is often envied by other breeders. But with her initial owners being religious leaders whose only real intention was profit, there was no mistaking that the sanctity of her breeding would soon be violated and thus her value decreased. Her parents were purebred Andalusia’s as well and were the main breeding stud and brood, while Ellyria was sent away to Cappadocia for training and to pass on her genetics to the prized fighting horses. She was fought early in her youth and succeeded in most of her battles, but at the age of 2 was quickly returned to the paddock for breeding. Though she only occupied a small area just large enough for her and whatever stud she was paired with, Ellyria guarded her territory as well as herself; understanding how valuable her bloodlines were and not wanting to taint them with the testosterone driven scoundrels of war. Unfortunately she could not always escape and was bred twice by two different stallions – one being too young to reproduce and the other, Akron, did not take because Ellyria was too young to be fertile.
After this naturally, Ellyria was returned to battle. She lost some and then won some, and was in the middle of being returned to the breeding paddocks after she turned three when the boat she was traveling on was told to leave their horses on Cappadocia’s shores – left to die, no doubt – and to return to where ever they had came from. To this day Ellyria does not mention her breeding and acts as if all she ever did was fight. Her genetics are still pure, technically, but she is ashamed of herself.
