For eons, Lemuwa has flourished as a land of magic and divinity. It was a haven for beings who possessed great powers. Yet over the centuries, Lemuwa has undergone change. Non-magical people, dubbed "shells," have altered the world forever.
Humans embraced industry, while Lemuwans still clung to their magic. The two seemed incompatible, sparking great eruptions of hate and war. It was clear that unification could never happen. As way to prevent total ruin, the rulers of Lemuwa closed off most passages between realms. They kept a few open, but Lemuwa otherwise remained hidden from the humans.
Some people, aspiring wizards and witches, are allowed entrance to excel in magical studies. They take refuge in the realm's leading international school: Lemir's School of Magic Essentials. It is there that students learn to control their powers, use them for good, and embrace the mystical culture.
For the past few centuries, however, a secret society has stirred. The Carnelian Circle has initiated a pandemic of violence. Rogue vampires, feral werewolves, horrid goblins and other demons have caused trouble across the vast lands. They've preyed on Lemuwans, but have an insatiable appetite for humans. With this demonic outbreak, peace in the realms has been compromised.
Good versus evil. Magic versus might?
