Her entire body is built for it. She was bred from a line of brood mares to be -- you guessed it -- a brood mare. And, of course, she was raised to be a brood mare. She foaled as soon as her body would allow it and had done so consecutively until the later parts of the war. For this reason, her barrel is set wide, and her stance is usually very sturdy, as if she is always carrying the weight of a foal. Unfortunately, she has never had to really run or fight or even play. This makes her a little...awkward? She knows how to fight, but that is only from the years of breeding becoming instinct. However, she is no match for any trained war horse. In fact, she's a complete pushover. Even speed escapes the mare on most occasions. After all, her whole life -- or at least, most of it -- she spent in a corral or paddock. Needless to say, the muscles that are usually thick and beefy on a war horse are somewhat scrawny and wirey on her frame. While on the subject of her disfigurements...she also has a terrible scar running from her whithers, down her right side, to her hock, attained from the last battle of the war in her fight with Erebus Calibarr. But! do not assume, then, that she is not beautiful. It's hard, nigh impossible, to tell which color in her pelt is the main background layer. The splotches of grey and white cover her frame in equal parts. Even her face is split between them. One eye is surrounded by grey hair, and the eye itself is a very deep brown. The other orb is surrounded by white hair and is blue. Epidermis of the fae is dark, making the grey and white also have a blue sheen. The overall effect is beautiful what with her bay coloring with white oversocks. If she were to ever open up and run, she'd be quite a sight, but alas, she does not have the physical ability to really run. Personality: The poor wench is a natural born mother. It's in her nature, her blood, her very genes. She was designed to be a good mom. And...well...you see the result. Xochhi could mother someone twice her age with three times the experience. Well, she could try. Unfortunately, the mare is easilly stressed when it comes to foals. They are her weakest point. She would throw herself from a cliff in order to keep a foal -- any foal -- from harm. This can, and probably will, get her killed eventually...or worse. Also, it's not hard to figure out that a foal is her weak point. The way she looks at them, the way she treats them...it's obvious. But, she is bitter. Ever since the battle, when she miscarried for the first time in her life, she hasn't quite been herself. The former brood mare hasn't foaled since, and it is really taking it's toll on her. Yes, she was socially awkward before, but now it's even hard for her to learn to defend herself. She's been on her own ever since the war, and even she doesn't know how she's still alive. Also, if she ever finds the stallion that tore her life apart, she'll probably break. She might be a magnificent mother, but she's an estrogen/naive cocktail when it comes to everything else. She hates his existence with the fiber of her being.
