Character Name: Xavier
Pronounced: ecks-ZAY-vee-er
Gender: Mare
Age: 3 1/2 Yrs.
Other Characters: None.
Appearance: Grulla Appaloosa. A seal brown more to the front of her body and a more of a lighter brown as it recedes further back. Little scars decorate her, here and there, blending in with her patterning. Eyes are of brown color, holding a playful glint if not a defiant one. Her muzzle, legs- up to the knees- and mane and tail are generally almost the same dark sooty black color. Mane and tail take a more salt and pepper appearance than a solid color. Hind hoof holds a white sock, dying her hoof pink and the remaining three a dull flint color. Height is around 14.3 hands high.
Overall general appearance looks like a frosted roan, and spread over a small area of her hindquarters is a white blankets with fat dark chocolate spots. Her legs, neck, and head take on what genes her Sire donated for her cause- thickset, muscled and for lack of a better word stocky. Her barrel, chest and main build are lithe retaining some elegance in her physique. Easy on the eyes for some, she's not at all at peace with such a graceful curse but she has learned that it is no use fighting. Finishing her off is a white star that bleeds down her forehead, trailing into a small snippet of white.
Personality:
positive traits → » Submissive » Hard-working » Eager » Peaceful
negative traits → » Timid » Un-trusting » Reclusive » Awkward
From first glance she looks like she could break in the wind or if some gentleman whistled at her. Second glance would get you an eyeful of tomboy that was cursed with some elegance. She isn't afraid to get dirty and sweaty, she's more scared to catch someone's eye than doing her fair share of work. Timid, submissive, and un-trusting when in a herd or crowd, tending to want to try and blend into the background and not be noticed. She's eager to let things go as they please, running their own course, yet detesting any little change in her familiar surroundings.
She'll do practically anything for you, but you'll need to gain her trust first before she's willing to go to the end of the world for you. Her trust is slow to gain, but if you take your time and try to become friends first rather than stealing a kiss, or more, without permission then you'll have her. She's a mare who knows nothing of war, and is generally peaceful and submissive. Slightly awkward with herself, she stumbles and is not very nimble on her feet. Her natural elegance is about the only thing 'beautiful', eye-catching, about her. Plus it is only skin deep, and only seen from afar usually. Plus she'd rather go for a run in the woods at night, than sleep early and take care of the foals. Feelings do not linger for anyone else- or so it goes at the moment.
Rp Sample: Field was empty in the lazy mid-summer evening. Not a soul in sight, save for the speckled maiden whom slept in the wild grasses. Lashes were firmly shut over her eyes, flickering under the spell of being in the Dream Realm. Her thoughts elsewhere, she missed the sun descending lower and lower in the great blue sky. Shadows lengthened and clawed their way into the field, marching out of the forest that rimmed the open glade.
A curious field mouse approached the dozing mare and took a shortcut over her nose, trying to reach it's braided nest. Ticklish muzzle flared as an approaching sneeze threatened to break the lazy silence of the approaching evening. Compared to a gun-shot it was a popgun in comparison, but nonetheless still just as loud or so it seemed to the glade's inhabitants- A snort forced itself out and jolted the mare awake, she slowly rolled over onto her belly.
Blinking the sleep away from her eyes, she gazed around her, worry already gnawing in her gut. How had she managed to have let the day sneak away like that? How irresponsible was that? Snorting and tossing her head, she stiffened her forelegs and pushed off with a hind leg. All four legs on solid ground again, she braced her muscles and shook for all she was worth. Sending grass and dirty debris off of her frosted hide. Ears revolved around slowly, listening to see if she was still the only one in the field. Results came back negative for any other presence. With that the mare quickly moved into a trot and made her way to exit the glade, hoping to return to her herd with little problem.
Shadows seemed to dance and quiver, standing as still as stone as if they were hiding monsters in their wake. The quickest route was through the forest, she knew that. Eying the forest critically, the salt and peppered mare suddenly shied away with a snort and danced sideways away from the shadowy gloom of the trees. Dropping her head and doing one or two crow-hops, she recovered herself and entered the cool depths of the timber land. Monsters chased her in her mind, and with filly-like glee kicked up her heels and started to run through the forest. However she slowed when she first stumbled and nearly tripped, slowing herself as she saw fit she finally exited the forest covered in a film of sweat but in good spirits.
Other: When she was a filly, she had caught the eye of a rival stallion. He pushed her sire's patience as he tried to catch her attention, as she had done to his. Finally, she found herself getting interested in the strange stallion. After her sire kept the stranger at bay and his herd forever on the move, Xavier seperated herself from her herd. Curiosity getting the better of her young mind. His prize in sight, the stallion quickly pilfered his prize before her whereabouts were known.
Stolen from her herd, Xavier found herself being pushed in the opposite direction of her family. Worried and scared, she tried to evade her captor but to no evail. Traveling with the stallion, she found herself in new lands and without a hope in the world of being reunited with her dam, or herd. One night the stallion took her to a small glade, with not much experience in the way of life, she found herself clueless. She was only saved when another male moved in to try and pilfer Xavier, during the brawl she quickly high tailed it out of there. In alien lands and not a clue of where she would go or stay, Xavier tries to keep herself distant from most and always on the move.
