Character Name: Mohana
Pronounced: Moe-HAH-na
Gender: Mare
Age: 5
Rank: War mare
Other Characters: none
Appearance: A fully 'grayed out' mare (meaning her coat and mane/tail are completely white now) with a metallic sheen. She is Andalucian in appearance, but the metallic sheen gives away the trace of Akhal-Teke. Blue eyes give away that a third breed is in her blood - and it happens to be Spanish Mustang. Her hairy fetlocks and bruise resistant feet give that heritage away. Her mane and tail are luxurious, if not very wavy when dry.
But her blue eyes, while pretty, make her vision in bright light poorer than another horse. Bright sunlight reflecting off the snow also hurts her eyes considerably. When it's really snowy Mohana doesn't really go anywhere, she'll just go find a dark place and hide from the light, or stand in the sun with her eyes closed if she feels safe enough. She despises bright sunny days. Mohana is most active around sunset and twilight, and early dawn. Once the sun is well on its way up, she tends to find a not so bright place to hang out in. She plays up her sensitivity a far amount, being a bit of a drama queen.
Before she grayed out, she was a very 'quietly' expressed splash, but now it's impossible to tell as she has turned completely white. Before she grayed out, she had a bald face, covering her whole muzzle but narrowing as it went up her face, just barely missing her eyes. Her nose is very prone to sunburn, another reason she isn't too found of bright sunny days and the snow. Especially the two together.
She is very agile and swift, and stands 15 hh. She is smaller than you would expect in a war horse, putting her at a weight disadvantage. But it does mean she is lighter on her feet and quicker than her larger counterparts. She's better at dancing around just out of reach than actually attacking. Her small body does have a fair amount of power to it, but it has nothing on the more heavily muscled and bigger horses. She's a bit useless for fighting to be honest, though if she wanted to she could shape up into a decent fighter.
She has few scars due to her lack of experience and certain personality traits. None of them are very visible, being on the small side. Her apparent lack of scars is a glaring sign of her lack of fighting experience, as well as her muscle tone is leaner - more suited for running, jumping, and quick turns than striking out.
Personality: Mohana, is basically a spoiled brat. She absolutely must get her way. She has made an art out of pouting, an art at which she is the master of masters. Of course she is also an excellent liar and extremely persuasive. The control she has over her eyes and body is astounding. All of this combines to make her a great actress.
On top of it all, Mohana is a gorgeous mare - and she knows it. She never turns down an opportunity to flaunt it. She loves what she's got, and she knows the boys love it too. Mohana is extremely hard to impress though. Sometimes she'll pretend otherwise - if it's to her advantage. But she is cold. She doesn't care about anyone else. So long as she survives and gets what she wants, life is good.
Mohana has a knack for weaseling her way out of situations she doesn't like, making her a pro at survival. She can be difficult to deal with though, as she sees everyone else as beneath her. Grudgingly she'll admit someone else has superiority - rarely, very rarely. In her mind, she is a goddess and everyone else exists purely to serve her needs and wants, whatever they happen to be. Mohana is extremely narcissistic and vain, as well as power hungry. She won't stop short of death.
Her weapon of choice when it comes to a fight is her tongue - she'd rather duel verbally. She doesn't like getting hurt, because it might scar and 'ruin' her 'perfect looks'. Oh yeah, she's also easily insulted. Sometimes she'll let you know - quite clearly - other times not. Depends on what her particular goals are at the moment in relation to who she's around. Internally though she'll bitch and fume and rant for quiet a while about "how dare that bitch/bastard insult me". She can be quite the drama queen, especially when concerning her looks, and anything that causes physical pain. Hence why she spends so much time away from the sun. It hurts her eyes some, but for most horses it's a tolerable pain; a pain that can be adjusted to. But she flat out refuses to not exaggerate about it. Beauty comes with a price after all - the rest of the world just doesn't understand. At least that's what she thinks.
If you want Mohana in your pocket, just lavish her with gifts and praise and promise her power. Dictionary definition lavishing won't do though. Over the top lavishing. Mohana is easily bored, and it takes something extremely impressive to impress her. She also isn't a very loyal mare. Whoever can offer her the most is who will have her on their side until someone else offers her something better.
Rp Sample:There's only two types of people in the world
The ones that entertain and the ones that observe
Well baby, I'm a put-on-a-show kind of girl
Don't like the backseat, gotta be first
The sky was a collage of bright, hot colors. Reds and oranges and golds. A few purples were creeping in high up, and out to the east, the light was all but gone. It was sunset. The shadows were long, and darkening. They were particularly creepy looking along the cliff face overlooking a valley. One spot was particularly dark, a cave. If you looked carefully, you could see a narrow trail zig-zagging down past it. And in that cave something was gleaming in the last dying rays of the sun.
It was a mare, a Spanish mare in appearance. Long mane and tail, a metallic sheen to her white coat, and most unusually blue eyes. But her veins carry not just Pura Raza Espanol - Turkic and stray blood also reside here. Half Andalucian, 1/8 Akhal-Teke, 3/8 Spanish Mustang. The metallic sheen of her coat the only obvious indicator of Akhal-Teke heritage, and her blue eyes the only apparent indicator of her Spanish Mustang blood. But she was gorgeous. To the eye she appeared pure of blood - but a very unique specimen. And she knew it.
Don't stand there watching me,
Follow me, show me what you can do
Follow me, show me what you can do
The mare watched the sun drop below the horizon. She moved forward out of the cave and headed carefully down the narrow rocky trail. She held her tail high and to the side, because she didn't want it snagging on any rocks or dragging in the dirt. That would simply be not acceptable. She particularly prided herself on maintaining a 'perfect' mane and tail. From a distance, it looked like a ghost was making it's way down the cliff face in the twilight. A very shiny ghost.
She finally made it all the way down. She stood for a moment and looked around, head held high, ears rotating. She swished her tail a few times before making her way toward the river. She walked along it for a while, searching for a shallower stretch to ford across. Finally she found a bend that was very wide, but shallow and slow moving. She stood at the very edge of the water, dreading the trek across it. She picked her way carefully over to the other side, picking her feet up really high and going as quickly as possible without splashing too much. She hated cold water. Actually make that water period. Because then she's wet making dirt and dust love to stick to her, stain her pretty white legs turn her from white to brown.
But on the bright side, she was now on the more populated side of the river and she could get down to accomplishing her current goal: find a herd.

So baby, I hope that you came prepared
I run a tight ship so beware

Other: Mother purebred Andalucian, father 1/4 Akhal-Teke 3/4 Spanish Mustang, was a loudly expressed splash pinto with blue eyes. Both were brought in at the very end of the war, and bred to try to produce a war mare with better endurance for longer rides and sure-footedness while maintaining some degree of bulk and calmer temperament. There was also a goal for beauty, since a more beautiful mare is more distracting. They got it, but her mother escaped with her shortly after her birth and shortly before the war ended so she never received any training. [/blockquote]
